Author talks, launches, a monthly book club and story time every Saturday. Evenings start at 7pm unless we say otherwise, and the café stays open for drinks.

The Lantern Row Book Club

One book a month, chosen by the group, in the café corner after closing. Tea, coffee and cake included, and members get 10% off the book. Turn up even if you haven’t finished it.

Twenty minutes of picture books, a song and some colouring for ages 2 to 6, on the rug in the children’s corner. No need to book. Grown-ups can sit with a coffee.

Novelists, poets, local historians and picture book makers, with a reading, questions and signed copies. The ticket price comes off the book on the night.

Got a book coming out? We’d love to host the launch.

We seat up to forty, sell the books on the night and look after the drinks. Local authors and small presses are especially welcome.
